Why do JWs take vacations....? -SeymourButts
Why, of course, to see more butts, Seymour.
why do loyal jws take sight-seeing vacations?
if they will live forever on a paradise earth, why do they spend time seeing the wonders of the world and the beauty of it all while on a vacation from their secular employment?
they will have the rest of eternity to seek out the wonders of this world, will they not?

trying to get topic page started (keep getting 'error page' instead)...hopefully letter will show in next post....
I would not send the letter to anyone until it is better organized and would be careful about what information your family might get off this board. Are you sure the "marked" person who directed you here is not also directing your family here? I hope you can sort this out with the people who already were victimized by your ex and I hope your ex does not model and teach the same crap to your sons for them to repeat. That is a worry.

Two (or more?) molesting siblings in the same household? Anyone want to take bets that either "Seth Sr" or some other adult member in that family was raping the boys too? Only one of several reasons I can think of why the parents won't listen. -Odrade
That was pretty much my thought on the matter. I doubt the parents will offer or consider offering support based on your letter, but the people who were already victimized by your husband - Samantha and whoever - you should contact and offer support. How long ago was the abuse, I wonder? Could they prosecute him for it? That is what I think ought to be done, although the really young ones may not recall accurately if it was a very, very long time ago.

Yep, looks like the internet is armageddon for cults . . . background music - Jim Morrison - the end . . .
am a newbie here so please excuse any lack of decorum, just need to vent to people that understand.. a quick rundown: dad was an elder since i was about 3, and from the time i was 5 i wondered why he was so nice to everyone else and an arsehole to his family.
dad remained an elder until 'deposed' when i was 13, after which my 17 yr old sister 'lost faith' (although, knowing her, it happened a lot sooner).
sis left home, i got seriously depressed and tried to kill myself, after which nothing was ever the same with either my family or the 'truth' (the 'lie' is more like it).
Welcome Shadowland. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend and for your family's maltreatment of you and of your sister. Is your sister available as a support to you? I wonder if she could or would be?
this is my first post and im nervous but i've read many so far.
my situation is this im going to be 21 in june and i'm in love with my boyfriend but he not a witness and i am( i have been my entire life) my parent found out and forbid me to see him and even told me to leave, i did leave for a day, but they called me back.
but they still hate that i have any contact with him...and we still want to get married.
My jw sister eloped with a non-witness before she was baptized; around the same time she dropped out of college. Her hubby eventually capitulated to all the pressure encouragement to convert (after their kids were born) and became a witness. In the interim, they broke up and she went to computer classes; they are back together and happily abuse rear their kids as JWs, too.
for the past 19 days i've been suffering with tooth pain.
i had it crowned but it got infected.
i was put on pennicilin.
So true; you also can be grateful that your infection and your allergic reaction didn't kill you. Tooth pain is one of the worst of physical issues, in my opinion. It can be quite a bit like a broken bone. Sorry you went through that and glad you're doing better! Stay away from those m&m's!
happy berfday, bad boy!
tell us storys of all the fun exciting stuff that your kids did when your back was turned.. my most recent finding was yesterday.
i took a shower while my kids were playing(thats what i though) in their room.
after i dressed i went downstairs to notice shinny little footprints all over the new wood floors...hmmmm curious....i follow them......and saw that my 2 year old had found a can of pam cooking spray and was trying to shine up the wood floor with it.
Whenever my daughter did something inappropriate (around pre-school and toddler age), like picking her nose (very frequently), I'd say, "don't do that" and she would always, always, always say "I'm not" while ceasing the undesirable activity in front of me. It was rather amusing.
